Experience Turquoise Place

Featuring white sugar sand beaches, delicious epicurean delights, oodles of shopping, exciting attractions, breathtaking scenic beauty, and authentic southern hospitality and charm, the Gulf Coast and Orange Beach, Florida is a wonderful vacation experience.

Visitors will find many places here to lay their head, from beach houses to condos, hotels, B&Bs, RV and camping spots and everything in between.

My favorite during the visits I have made to the area is Turquoise Place. Situated right along the shores of Orange Beach, the two structures here are the tallest residential towers in Alabama.

Turquoise Place, operated by Spectrum Resorts, takes spaciousness and luxury to a whole new level. I can honestly say I felt like I was walking into a million-dollar penthouse suite when I looked around my “home away from home,” wide-eyed and slack-jawed at the amenities including a humungous, gorgeous fully-stocked kitchen with real silver, upscale plates and glassware and Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances.

There was also a granite bar that seats six, a separate bar area and wine frig and dining room for 8, all with upscale furniture and amenities from the lamps to the accoutrement.

I stayed in a three-bedroom condo, each bedroom more spectacular than the last with a queen-sized bed with deluxe bedding, flat screen TV, private bathroom, and plenty of closet space. And in the master, a master bathroom to die for with his and hers sinks, oodles of counter space, a walk-in closet, a glass-enclosed granite shower big enough for 2 or 3 with a granite bench and dual-head rain shower, and a jetted Jacuzzi-tub.

The living room had two full-sized couches (one a sofa sleeper so the condo could sleep 8), a flat screen TV, recessed and dimmer lighting, leather oversized chairs and floor-to-ceiling windows offering amazing views of the Gulf.

There was also beautiful hardwood floors throughout with carpet in the bedrooms, a sizeable patio accessible from the living room and master bedroom, full laundry room with a top-of-the-line washer and dryer, and on the private balcony a six-person Jacuzzi with alternating colored lights, a high-end barbecue grill and a wrought iron patio table and chairs for 6.

The property also encompasses a lazy river, indoor and outdoor pools and poolside bar, a state-of-the-art workout facility, steam room, supervised child care and family activities in-season and concierge and front desk service.

Turquoise Place is an outstanding accommodation experience along the Alabama Gulf Coast.

Spectrum Resorts also operates two other properties nearby: The Beach Club and Caribe the Resort.
