Perched on a picturesque hilltop off undulating Horseshoe Bend Parkway just 1-1/2 hours from Springfield, 2-1-2 hours from Kansas City, and four hours from Tulsa in Lake Ozark, Missouri, Lodge of Four Seasons is a premier Ozark area resort destination.

Lodge of Four Seasons - Views (14)

This full-service, 358-room, family-owned, waterfront golf resort and spa founded in 1964 has recently completed an extensive $15 million renovation inside and out that continues to draw families who have come here for years, as well as new travelers desiring a truly relaxing resort getaway experience.

The jaw-dropping views of the lake are the first thing to catch your eye when entering the property, with clear views for miles in all directions.

Lodge of Four Seasons - Lodge-Lobby

The entry lobby of the main lodge is equally, if not more impressive, featuring a soaring wood beam ceiling, octagon skylight, granite flooring, and stone walls throughout.

Designed to suit all guests—whether single travelers, couples, families, or groups—the resort offers a wide range of accommodation options, with price points to suit every budget.

All you need and more

The main lodge building and Seasons Bay buildings—located adjacent to the main lodge and featuring its own, secondary, private swimming pool area—encompass spacious one king, two double, and two queen size deluxe rooms with custom-made linens and elegant décor featuring all the amenities of home – 55” flat screen TV’s, Bluetooth music boxes, custom-made furniture from Guadalajara, México including a lighted desk area and lounge chairs, wireless internet, private bathrooms, Keurig coffee makers, and in some, a fireplace or garden tub. And all rooms have balconies offering picturesque views around the property and/or lake.

Lodge of Four Seasons - Last One Shot

The one- and two-bedroom residential style AVILA Luxury Suites, set up the hill from the main lodge and available for nightly or weekly rental, are perfect for families, reunions, and other large groups. The two-bedroom suites come with a full-equipped kitchen, living room, and dining room that seats four, offering an extra level of quiet yet within walking (or 24-hour courtesy shuttle) distance to all of the resort amenities.

Several dog friendly accommodations are also available, allowing you to travel with your fur-baby. And unlike many resorts, guests enjoy free convenient parking.

Lodge of Four Seasons - Atrium-Indoor Waterfall (5)Extensive renovations were also made to the resort’s spectacular 50-foot drop indoor waterfall, located in the atrium of the main lodge. Designed to bring the feel of the great outdoors in, the waterfall is highlighted by an astounding 187,000 pounds of weathered native stone and small rock, all installed by hand, and features lush, native flora and upper and lower pools stocked with multi-hued Koi fish.

These sizeable, beautiful Koi can also be found leisurely swimming about in the pools and canals of the award-winning Japanese Gardens.

Lodge of Four Seasons - Japanese Gardens (13)

Dedicated in 1989 and home to a rare collection of Japanese trees, plants and bushes, the gardens really lend the feel of a relaxing oasis that ties together the Yin and Yan of the resort’s active ambiance. The gardens are a great place for quiet reflection, mediation on any of its surrounding benches or fire pit, or snapping photos of your special time here.

Resort amenities at Lodge of Four Seasons are numerous. For “aqua fun” there’s the main Clover Leaf Pool, greatly enhanced during the renovation to now include an expansive raised stone deck, a beautiful natural stone, walk-through waterfall, and an oversized whirlpool.

Lodge of Four Seasons - Fire & Ice Bar (13)There’s plenty of seating around the pool, on an elevated deck, around a roaring fire pit, and adjacent to the resort’s inviting Fire & Ice Lakeview Patio and Bar, offering a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, two flat screen TV’s and a bar menu including burgers, salads, and the like from the resort’s catering department.

There is also an atrium pool, and inside the spa, an indoor-outdoor pool for those enjoying a spa treatment or service. A spacious fitness center with yoga and other class offerings is another great way to keep in shape here.

Active pursuits can be satisfied here as well. The Marina, the largest full-service marina on the Lake, offers everything from rods and reels to sand volleyball, tennis, disk golf, trap shooting, and basketball. A wide variety of rental options are also at your fingertips, including recreational and pontoon boats, wave runners, bicycles, kayaks, parasailing, and paddle boards.

During the busy seasons, the resort offers a variety of poolside activities and a kids camp to keep the little ones busy. The Lodge is also a big draw for weddings, conference, and other business travelers, featuring 65,000 square feet of private dining rooms, meeting and event spaces that can be specially tailored to suit functions from a handful up to 1,600 guests.

Golfers will find excellent golf opportunities at three highly-rated courses, all recognized among the top five golf courses in Missouri: The Ridge,  The Cove, a Robert Trent Jones Sr. signature golf course, and The Club at Porto Cima, the only 18-hole waterfront Jack Nicklaus signature course in the state.

Gastronomic Pursuits

There’s plenty of gastronomic options at the Lodge to satisfy a wide range of guests.

Situated near the Atrium and waterfall is Soleils Café (open seasonally) for a quick bite to eat for breakfast or lunch.

Lodge of Four Seasons - Shutter's Restaurant (12)

The newest (renovated and renamed) restaurant is Shutters at the Lake, featuring casual dining for both lunch and dinner. They also have a comfortable and inviting lounge area and bar, and a great outdoor patio surrounded by natural stone, gorgeous landscaping, and within view of the Japanese Gardens.

Lodge of Four Seasons - HKs-Restaurant

The flagship eatery here is HK’s Restaurant & Bar, named after Lodge of Four Seasons founder Harold Koplar. Set in a dramatic semi-circular architectural floor plan with dramatic high ceilings, alternating stone wall/floor-to-ceiling windows almost all the way around, and overlooking the Japanese Gardens, HK’s portrays a classic upscale, yet contemporary casual vibe, serving delicious artfully presented classic dishes for breakfast, as well as small plates, regional dishes, fresh seafood and fish, premium quality steaks, and other entrees for dinner, plus a Sunday brunch.
